The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of Social Studies for our Middle School at Marlboro Memorial M.S. This is a full-time, leave of absence position starting September 1, 2026, until the end of the academic year or as needed.

Your Responsibilities

  • Teach middle school social studies curriculum in accordance with New Jersey state standards and district guidelines.
  • Create a positive learning environment that fosters student engagement and critical thinking skills.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials to meet diverse student needs.
  • Evaluate student progress through various methods including quizzes, tests, projects, and presentations.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly qualified individual with the following qualifications:

  • A valid New Jersey Endorsement as a Teacher of Social Studies or an Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-6 with Subject Matter Specialization in Social Studies.
  • Proven experience teaching social studies at the middle school level.
  • A deep understanding of social studies content and pedagogy.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
