About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning systems that enable scientists and researchers across the organization. You'll take ownership of building robust, scalable ML infrastructure and platforms that integrate into our research and development workflows, driving measurable impact on drug development timelines and scientific outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms that solve complex problems in drug discovery, molecular biology, and healthcare applications
• Build and maintain ML infrastructure, data pipelines, and production systems that support research teams across the organization
• Collaborate with scientists, computational biologists, and software engineers to translate research requirements into scalable ML solutions
• Optimize model performance, evaluate trade-offs between accuracy and computational efficiency, and implement best practices for model governance and validation
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and architectural decisions for AI/ML systems
• Stay current with advances in machine learning, deep learning, and AI methodologies, and evaluate emerging technologies for organizational adoption

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production environments
• Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and software engineering best practices
• Proficiency with ML frameworks, data processing tools, and cloud platforms
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with domain experts and translate complex requirements into technical solutions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to quality in both code and scientific rigor
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or research environments is a plus
