Cyber AI Data Engineer Senior Consultant

Deloitte's Cyber team is recruiting a hands-on Cyber AI Data Engineer Senior Consultant to join our Jericho, New York office on a full-time basis. In this role, you'll architect and operate the governed data systems that power next-generation AI-driven cyber defense and enterprise risk management for Fortune 500 organizations.

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead the technical design and delivery of data engineering solutions at the intersection of cybersecurity, data infrastructure, and artificial intelligence. You'll build the foundational data platforms that enable intelligent threat detection, risk assessment, and compliance evidence generation across complex enterprise environments.

What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve cybersecurity telemetry, threat intelligence, and compliance data
• Establish data governance frameworks, quality standards, and metadata management for security-focused data environments
• Architect cloud and on-premises data solutions that support enterprise risk reporting, organizational security posture assessment, and compliance automation
• Engineer datasets that fuel AI and machine learning models for cyber risk prediction and threat detection
• Collaborate with security, risk, and compliance teams to translate business requirements into technical data architecture
• Lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers while contributing to the strategic direction of our cyber data practice

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience designing and operating production data systems at scale
• Strong technical expertise in modern data platforms, cloud infrastructure, ETL frameworks, SQL, and data warehousing
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat data sources, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS), or organizational risk management
• Demonstrated experience building data governance solutions, implementing metadata management, and establishing data quality practices
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning workflows and the data engineering practices that support them
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
