Position Summary
The Aurora Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team as a 6th Grade Math Teacher. This position is designated as Hard to Fill and eligible for an annual stipend of $5000, paid in two equal installments of $2,500 in January and June of the school year, contingent upon working the entirety of each semester.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging math curriculum aligned with Colorado state standards
- Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide individualized support
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning
- Attend professional development workshops and training sessions as required
Skills & Qualifications
- Licensed by the Colorado Department of Education
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a 6th grade math classroom
- Strong communication skills for effective parent-teacher communication
- Experience with technology integration in the classroom is preferred
- A commitment to continuous professional development and student success
