About the Role

As the UR Home Healthcare Advancement Director, you will shape and drive the philanthropic strategy that supports home healthcare programs at the University of Rochester. Working from Rochester, you will build meaningful donor relationships, advance institutional priorities, and connect generous supporters with the people and services that depend on them.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute an advancement strategy that grows philanthropic support for UR home healthcare initiatives.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, foundations, and community partners.
• Manage a portfolio of major-gift prospects and move relationships toward meaningful commitments.
• Partner with clinical, program, and leadership teams to translate funding needs into compelling cases for support.
• Plan donor engagement activities, stewardship touchpoints, and recognition efforts.
• Track pipeline progress, report on outcomes, and ensure accurate gift records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fundraising, development, or advancement, ideally within healthcare, higher education, or a mission-driven organization.
• Demonstrated success cultivating donor relationships and securing significant gifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tell a persuasive story.
• Sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information with care.
• Willingness and ability to work full-time, on-site in Rochester (this role is not remote).
