About the Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Front-End Engineer to join our Engineering organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing applications and interfaces that power Smarkets' products. You will work closely with engineering managers, technical leadership, product managers, and designers to deliver intuitive, high-performing web and mobile experiences aligned with the company's product roadmap.
Core Duties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement responsive, performant user interfaces
- Develop and maintain front-end code using React, ensuring it is optimized for performance and scalability
- Ensure consistency in the user experience across multiple platforms and devices
- Work closely with designers and product managers to translate wireframes into polished web and mobile applications
- Optimize and improve existing front-end systems to enhance user engagement and satisfaction
What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience in front-end development using React, with a strong understanding of its ecosystem
- Familiarity with modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and Webpack
- Experience working with state management libraries like Redux or Context API
- A solid understanding of responsive design principles and the ability to create user-friendly interfaces for a wide range of devices
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
