Maintaining Legal Compliance — Jobgether, India (nationwide) (nationwide)
About the Role
This is a full-time, in-office position for a Managing Counsel, Product at Jobgether. The role requires extensive experience in payroll management and strategic legal partnership with product development teams. This individual-contributor leadership role will support the global development of complex HR technology products.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic legal guidance for product development initiatives, ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
- Act as a key legal advisor to the Product team on matters related to payroll, contracts, intellectual property, and data privacy.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and HR to ensure seamless integration of legal requirements into product development cycles.
- Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures that align with company objectives and regulatory standards.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a legal role, with at least 3 years specializing in payroll law.
- A strong understanding of labor laws, employment regulations, and data protection laws applicable to the India (nationwide) (nationwide)n market.
- Experience working in an international environment, preferably with exposure to multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership qualities and a proven track record of mentoring junior counsel.
