Core Duties

• Lead and manage the implementation of modern slavery policies and programs within The Salvation Army’s operations in Coburg North, Moreland.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, community organizations, and partners to ensure effective collaboration and advocacy.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify risks related to modern slavery and implement corrective measures as necessary.
• Provide training and support to staff on modern slavery awareness and prevention strategies.
• Stay informed about legislative changes and best practices in the field of modern slavery to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role within the social services or human rights sector, with specific focus on modern slavery issues.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects effectively.
• Strong understanding of legislative frameworks related to modern slavery and human trafficking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• A commitment to the values and mission of The Salvation Army, including a strong Christian faith.
