Role Overview
Catalent is seeking a Supervisor for its biomanufacturing upstream operations based in Madison, Wisconsin. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the upstream processes of mammalian cell line engineering and drug substance biomanufacturing at our state-of-the-art facility.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the upstream biomanufacturing team
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all relevant regulatory standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient operational procedures for cell line engineering and drug substance production
- Monitor quality control processes to ensure product safety and efficacy
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members on best practices and troubleshooting
- Participate in the continuous improvement of biomanufacturing processes
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in upstream biomanufacturing, preferably within a GMP environment
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with a track record of managing teams effectively
- Strong understanding of mammalian cell culture processes and biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for biologics development and manufacturing
- Experience in GMP compliance, documentation, and quality assurance practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
