About This Position

The Training Officer position within the Community Corrections Management and Administration unit at the Department of Corrections is an ongoing role. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs to ensure staff are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of community corrections staff.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.

• Maintain accurate records of all training activities, including participant attendance and assessment results.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in a related field such as education, psychology, or human resources is desirable but not mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in training and development within a correctional environment or similar setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with staff at all levels of the organization.
