The Opportunity
Join The Scouts Association at an exciting time as we shape the future of our programme for over 40,000 young people across the UK. As a Programme Officer based in Gilwell Park or working from home with hybrid working arrangements, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering engaging activities that support the growth and development of Scouts.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programmes that align with our values and mission to inspire young people to be the best they can be.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including programme specialists, training experts, and regional leaders, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality activities.
- Facilitate in-person Programme team meetings every two months at Gilwell Park for those based there.
- Evaluate the impact of programmes through data analysis and feedback from volunteers and young people.
Requirements
- A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as youth work, education, or social sciences.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in programme development or similar roles within the youth sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with volunteers, young people, and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for supporting young people's personal growth and development through engaging activities.
