About the Role
At Descript, content is a cornerstone of our brand and demand generation strategy. We are seeking a Content Strategist to develop a strategic content program that aligns with our goals of reaching and engaging both individual creators and small businesses as well as moving upmarket. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating content that drives awareness and supports business objectives through data-driven insights, user research, and market analysis.
What You'll Do
- Define Descript's content strategy, editorial calendar, and channel prioritization
- Identify content gaps and opportunities using user data, search research, and market insight
- Build a measurement framework that connects content activity to brand and pipeline outcomes
- Develop an AI-native content production system for quality output at scale without sacrificing originality
- Produce or commission content across formats: articles, research reports, data studies, interactive tools, video scripts, and more
- Optimize content for AI discovery as the landscape evolves
- Partner with Demand Gen, PMM, and Field Marketing to develop assets that support pipeline programs
Qualifications
We are looking for a Content Strategist who is an experienced writer and strategist. You should have a proven track record of creating compelling content across various formats and channels. A deep understanding of AI-driven content discovery is essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
