About the Role
We are seeking a Mandarin Contract Interpreter for our OnDemand service, PropioONE. This role involves providing consecutive, first-person interpretation and adhering to interpreter protocols and procedures as required by clients. The position demands a commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide consecutive, first-person interpretation for various clients, including medical, legal, and social services.
- Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio Language Services clients.
- Adhere to all Propio Language Services policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
- Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge for various client needs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Submit an updated Resume in English at the time of application.
- Complete English Language Proficiency with a language rating of “technical proficiency” (3 or higher on the nationally recognized ILR scale).
- Pass a Mock oral interpretation session and be evaluated against 24 quality standards.
- Achieve a passing score in Propio's online Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology Assessment.
- Pass a full Background Check and Security Screen.
- Signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
