As a Health and Safety Systems Analyst at Rio Tinto in Invercargill, Southland, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees while supporting ongoing training and development with access to industry-leading systems and tools.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
• Analyze data to identify potential hazards and risks
• Conduct inspections and audits of work sites to ensure compliance with regulations
• Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall safety performance

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Health, Safety, Environment or related field
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Analyst or similar role
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a 9-day fortnight schedule at Tiwai Point, Invercargill
