Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day management of personal injury files emphasising workers compensation claims and work injury damages actions for clients in The Rocks and broader Sydney area
- Advise individuals on their entitlements and legal strategies regarding workplace injuries
- Prepare essential court documents, letters of advice and settlement offers
- Engage in negotiations with insurers and opposing parties to achieve favourable outcomes
- Instruct counsel and attend conferences, hearings or mediations as necessary
- Collaborate with medical professionals and other experts to support case development
- Contribute to a collaborative team by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues as an Associate or Senior Associate
Qualifications
- Current practising certificate and admission to practise law in New South Wales
- Demonstrated background handling personal injury matters with a focus on workers compensation or WID
- Capacity to operate with autonomy on a varied caseload at the Associate to Senior Associate level
- Excellent written and oral communication skills suited to client interactions and advocacy
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail in high-volume work
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional growth
