Your Responsibilities

• Help patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, positioning, mobility, and meal assistance under nurse direction
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs, intake/output, weights, and other routine measurements for the cardiology and med-surg population
• Assist with safe patient transport within the unit and to diagnostic areas while following fall-prevention and isolation protocols
• Maintain clean, organized rooms and equipment, restocking supplies to support continuous care on 7A
• Respond promptly to call lights, comfort needs, and basic requests, escalating clinical concerns to licensed staff
• Participate in hand-offs, unit huddles, and focused education sessions that reinforce cardiology and medical-surgical best practices
• Update the electronic record with care provided and complete assigned unit duties that uphold regulatory and safety standards at SE Health Hospital

What You Bring

• Active enrollment in an accredited nursing or health-sciences program that qualifies students for a Patient Care Student Intern II placing
• Current BLS certification or readiness to obtain it before start of unit orientation
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
