About This Position

As a Dishwasher at Pfchangs, you'll operate commercial dishwashing equipment, manage the flow of dishes and cookware throughout service, and ensure all items meet our rigorous health and sanitation standards. Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, you'll coordinate closely with kitchen and service staff to keep operations running smoothly. Your efficiency and attention to detail directly support every team member, from prep cooks to servers who deliver our dishes to guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload commercial dishwashing equipment; monitor wash cycles to ensure proper sanitation and food safety compliance
• Hand-wash delicate items and cookware that cannot go through the machine
• Organize, sort, and store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in designated areas for quick access
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station, floors, and surrounding areas in compliance with health codes
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to prioritize urgent items during high-volume service periods
• Report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to your supervisor promptly
• Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols consistently

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work in a warm, humid, fast-paced kitchen environment for full shifts
• Capability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
• Strong communication and active teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate
