About This Position

As a Financial Planning Executive at AIA in Colombo, you will guide clients through their financial futures with tailored planning solutions. This role combines technical expertise with relationship management, enabling you to help individuals and families achieve their long-term financial objectives. You'll work with clients across diverse backgrounds, understanding their unique circumstances and designing strategies that address their priorities. This position offers direct impact on client outcomes and the satisfaction of building trust-based relationships in financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough financial needs assessments for clients in the Colombo region and surrounding areas
• Develop personalised financial plans addressing retirement, investments, insurance, and wealth management
• Present financial recommendations clearly to clients, explaining strategies and expected outcomes
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular review and advisory support
• Identify cross-selling opportunities within AIA's product suite, including life insurance, investments, and retirement solutions
• Meet agreed targets and contribute to business growth objectives
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and AIA's standards of financial advice

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in finance, commerce, business, or related discipline
• Proven experience in financial planning, advisory, or customer-facing financial services roles
• Strong understanding of insurance products, investment vehicles, and retirement planning principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to explain complex financial concepts simply
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and achieve sales targets
• Professional certifications in financial planning or insurance (such as AIFA or equivalent) are advantageous
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil is beneficial
• Organised approach with strong attention to detail and compliance awareness
