Greene King is seeking a Bar & Waiting Staff member to join our team at our Maidstone, Kent location. This is a part-time position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused hospitality environment.

About This Position

We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable bar and waiting staff to deliver excellent service across our venue in Maidstone. You'll play a key part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, whether they're enjoying a meal, a drink, or both. This part-time role offers flexibility and the chance to develop your hospitality skills within an established, well-known pub and restaurant group.

Core Duties

• Take orders and serve food and beverages promptly and accurately
• Maintain a clean, tidy bar and dining areas at all times
• Stock bar shelves, fridges, and storage areas
• Operate tills and handle payments with precision
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service
• Follow health and safety standards and licence laws
• Assist in setting up and clearing tables
• Support the wider team during busy service periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in bar or waiting roles (or strong enthusiasm to learn)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work quickly and stay calm under pressure
• Physical stamina for a busy shift on your feet
• Flexibility with scheduling to cover evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
• Basic maths skills for till operation and change handling
• Smart, professional appearance
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess appropriate ID
