What This Role Involves

Terac partners with research organizations and AI developers to rigorously assess how advanced language models reason through sophisticated academic material. Your contribution will help map the logical boundaries and analytical gaps in AI systems by crafting original, demanding problems that reflect real graduate and postdoctoral research environments. Working asynchronously from your own space, you'll leverage your deep expertise to produce material that challenges current AI understanding in your discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original, graduate-to-PhD level academic problems grounded in your STEM expertise.
• Provide comprehensive, step-by-step solution pathways that arrive at a single definitive answer.
• Evaluate and critique AI-generated responses to advanced scientific inquiries.
• Document specific reasoning errors, logical gaps, and technical misconceptions in AI output.

What You Bring

• Advanced academic standing: PhD candidate, doctorate holder, postdoctoral researcher, or university faculty in a quantitative or scientific discipline.
• Specialized knowledge in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, or advanced engineering.
• Proven track record developing, teaching, or solving complex academic problems at an advanced level.
• Superior technical writing clarity and rigorous analytical thinking.
• Capacity to complete a brief competency assessment aligned with project guidelines.
