Role Overview
As a Software Engineer Intern - Generalist at pony.ai, you'll work alongside our engineering teams on real, impactful projects that directly support our mission to advance autonomous vehicle technology. You'll engage with multiple layers of our platform, from systems-level work to application development, learning how modern self-driving systems are built and tested in production environments.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to development and testing of software components across the autonomous driving stack
- Write clean, maintainable code in languages such as C++, Python, or Go
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug, optimize, and ship features
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for large-scale system design
- Support infrastructure, tooling, and automation projects that keep our teams productive
- Document your work and share learnings with the broader engineering organization
Who We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and data structures

- Experience with Git, version control, and command-line tools
