Station Agronomist BISA (Locally Recruited)

Role Overview

• Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of field trials and experiments.
• Conduct research to enhance crop productivity, disease resistance, and water use efficiency.
• Collaborate with local farmers and other stakeholders to promote sustainable agricultural practices.
• Prepare and present technical reports and findings to internal and external audiences.
• Ensure compliance with local and international agricultural regulations and standards.

What You'll Do

• Design and manage field experiments to test new crop varieties and agricultural practices.
• Analyze and interpret data to optimize crop yield and quality.
• Develop and implement sustainable agricultural systems that improve resource efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to local farmers and agricultural extension workers.
• Participate in the publication of research findings in scientific journals and presentations at conferences.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in agricultural research and extension.
• Strong knowledge of crop physiology, soil science, and agronomy principles.
• Experience with statistical analysis and data management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
