You'll lead our health and safety initiatives across our operations, ensuring compliance, protecting our teams, and building a strong safety culture within one of the world's leading food delivery platforms.
Position Summary
We're seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive health and safety strategies across Delivery Hero's Barcelona operations. This is a full-time remote role where you'll play a crucial part in protecting our employees, contractors, and partners whilst fostering a workplace where safety is embedded in everything we do. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement controls, and ensure regulatory compliance across our growing logistics and delivery network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and standards aligned with Spanish and European regulations
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across operations and identify mitigation strategies
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Deliver health and safety training programmes to employees and contractors, promoting awareness and best practices
- Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and maintain required documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with management and operational teams to integrate safety into business decisions and planning
- Develop and lead initiatives to strengthen safety culture and employee engagement
Who We're Looking For
- Professional qualification in Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent internationally recognised certification)
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager or similar role in a complex operational environment
- Strong knowledge of Spanish and European health and safety legislation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement evidence-based solutions
- Proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
- Fluency in English required; additional language skills valued
