The Opportunity

GMR Group is seeking a Manager - Legal to strengthen its corporate legal function. In this position, you will take ownership of complex legal matters spanning fund-raising operations, transaction management, and corporate restructuring. Your work will be critical to ensuring that the group navigates regulatory requirements whilst executing ambitious growth and capital strategies. You'll report to the Head – Corporate Legal, working collaboratively across the organisation to support business objectives through sound legal counsel and flawless transaction execution.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Advise on private and public fund-raising operations, including capital structuring and investor documentation
  • Lead and oversee debt and equity transactions from conception through closing
  • Manage the legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across the group
  • Ensure all transactions and operations maintain full regulatory compliance and governance standards
  • Facilitate efficient deal execution by identifying legal risks, drafting key agreements, and resolving structural challenges
  • Provide counsel on additional corporate legal matters as they arise

What You Bring

  • Substantial experience in corporate legal practice, with demonstrated expertise in transactions and fund-raising
  • Strong knowledge of Indian corporate and securities law
  • Proficiency in structuring and executing debt and equity transactions
  • Sound understanding of merger, acquisition, and divestiture processes
  • Excellent attention to regulatory and compliance detail
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and timelines simultaneously
  • Professional qualification in law and any relevant certifications
