Senior Staff UX Writer, International

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global marketplace platform in their search for a Senior Staff UX Writer to join their International team in London. This is a strategic role that will shape how millions of users across Europe experience products through thoughtful, culturally-informed content design.

Our client is building a newly forming team focused on making their platform resonate with local audiences across key European markets including Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and the UK. You'll work at the intersection of design, research, and regional strategy to create meaningful experiences for a diverse global community.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, concise copy across multiple product touchpoints with cultural sensitivity and linguistic precision
• Define and drive the UX Writing function within Global Markets, establishing workflows, partnerships, and standards for the emerging team
• Lead strategy and UX Writing deliverables across multiple highly complex, cross-regional projects
• Review and mentor other UX writers, helping to elevate the craft across the organization
• Develop strategic content ideas based on product requirements, user research, and data insights
• Present content and design work to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
• Drive consensus with stakeholders and partners on content recommendations
• Manage copy timelines and deliver detailed content across multiple concurrent projects
• Partner with cross-functional teams including accessibility, anti-discrimination, legal, localization, country managers, researchers, and engineers
• Ensure Global Markets work aligns with central standards, voice guidelines, and quality benchmarks

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or content strategy
• Background within global consumer tech companies or marketplace platforms preferred
• Proven ability to lead content work from concept through detailed design and implementation
• Experience working with localization platforms and translation services
• Demonstrated experience presenting to and influencing executive teams
• Experience writing content principles, messaging frameworks, and style guides
• Strong collaboration skills across all stages of design and development
• Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns
• Ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced environments
• Proven ability to drive work forward in ambiguous situations
• Proficiency working in Figma alongside other design disciplines
• Deep and nuanced understanding of regional needs, cultural norms, and regulatory environments
• Bilingual proficiency in German, Spanish, French, or Italian is welcomed but not required
