Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential collectibles organization seeking an Ecommerce Director for the EMEA region, based in London. In this role, you will drive revenue through commercially focused strategies across direct-to-consumer platforms and third-party marketplaces.

Direct-to-Consumer Platform:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive ecommerce strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets across EMEA markets
  • Determine optimal product launch strategies (traditional, pre-order, auction) that drive sales velocity, profitability, and maintain brand integrity
  • Lead merchandising strategies ensuring compelling product assortment, timely updates, and effective promotions aligned with collector trends
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, implementing improvements based on data-driven insights
  • Own regional forecasting based on historic product performance and emerging customer behaviour trends
  • Lead end-to-end execution of product launches from pre-launch planning through post-purchase
  • Define success criteria and own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting across site performance and commercial KPIs
  • Continuously optimize the collector experience, identifying opportunities to grow GMV and margin
  • Develop and execute structured tests across new activations and commercial strategies
  • Partner closely with Growth, Technology, Finance, Analytics teams and external agencies to deliver commercial objectives

Third-Party Ecommerce:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive third-party ecommerce strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Identify new growth opportunities and innovative approaches to maximize sales across various third-party platforms
  • Develop relationships and negotiate commercial terms with new third-party platforms
  • Lead analysis of all programs and establish continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management
  • Ensure all third-party ecommerce operations comply with relevant regulations, policies, and best practices
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to platform operations

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years of eCommerce experience including DTC, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Third-party marketplace experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record in driving eCommerce sales and marketing strategies
  • Experience in demand planning, sensing, and pricing
  • Strong understanding of online merchandising and user experience best practices
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Keen business acumen and advanced online customer analytical skills
  • Exceptional leadership and team development skills
  • Strong curiosity and interest in the trading cards industry
