Education Designer: UX, UI, and AI

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential online education organization seeking an Education Designer to lead the creation of UX, UI, and AI curriculum. You'll structure courses and Master Classes that teach design and AI skills to hundreds of thousands of learners worldwide.

This role suits a designer who has facilitated workshops or built online courses and discovered an unusual talent for making complex skills easy to learn. You'll work with industry leaders from major tech companies to create educational content that transforms how people work with AI and human-centered design.

Responsibilities

• Plan, structure, and create core educational content for courses and Master Classes across UX design, UI design, human-computer interaction, and AI
• Establish learning outcomes and design step-by-step sequences that take learners from confused to competent
• Create exercises, portfolio activities, design templates, and assessments that transform passive watching into active skill-building
• Produce Master Classes by reaching out to industry experts, planning content, and facilitating live sessions (approximately 3 per month)
• Collaborate with video teams on course production, providing feedback on on-screen text, graphics, and animation
• Travel a few times per year to professional studios worldwide to shoot course content with industry leaders
• Analyze completion rates, learner feedback, and portfolio work to identify and implement improvements
• Maintain clear documentation so internal teams can access knowledge resources instantly
• Balance one large course creation project per quarter alongside continuous improvements to published content

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years of hands-on design experience
• Proven experience facilitating workshops, running beginner courses, mentoring designers, or building online curricula
• Portfolio of educational work: courses, workshop series, Master Classes, teaching apps, or mentoring programs you've created
• Ability to transform broad, complex design practices into clear step-by-step learning sequences for beginners
• Skill in teaching the same concept across different formats (60-minute workshop, written lesson, 90-second video) with format-appropriate adaptation
• Active collaboration with AI tools for research, structuring, writing, and creation while maintaining human leadership and ownership of outcomes
• Deep understanding of timeless human-centered design skills versus tool-based skills, with passion for teaching transferable expertise
• Experience teaching both career changers new to design and experienced designers upskilling to senior roles
• Genuine curiosity about how AI is changing design work and design education
• Fluency in written and spoken English with ability to explain complex ideas clearly
• Self-motivation, comfort with creative freedom and independent judgment, plus the responsibility both require
• Strong social intelligence, empathy, and collaborative spirit; able to give and receive constructive feedback without defensiveness
• Ability to spot problems early and return with solutions rather than just reports
• Located in time zones between UTC-6 and UTC+8 (Americas through Asia-Pacific, including all of Europe)
• Willingness to travel a few times annually for course production

Bonus qualifications: Published educational material or conference speaking experience; LMS or online learning platform experience; AI-supported learning development; bachelor's or master's in UX, UI, AI, or related field; original content blog or social media presence; video production collaboration experience.
