The Opportunity

You'll play a pivotal role in designing and building robust, scalable server-side applications that power our products. This full-time position offers the chance to work with both Java and Kotlin in a collaborative environment where technical excellence drives our product direction. As a senior engineer at Mindera, you'll contribute architectural decisions, lead code reviews, and help shape how we approach backend challenges across our platform.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Kotlin
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and mentor junior developers on the team
• Participate in system architecture discussions and propose improvements to our technical infrastructure
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement lasting solutions to prevent recurrence
• Work with databases, APIs, and cloud services to build integrated systems

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java
• Proven expertise in Kotlin or strong ability to learn the language quickly
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean code principles
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and API development
• Familiarity with version control systems, automated testing, and continuous integration practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
