Your Responsibilities

• Complete independent physician reviews of cases involving rheumatologic conditions and related radiology services
• Assess medical necessity and clinical appropriateness using evidence-based criteria and specialty expertise
• Document written rationales that clearly support each review determination
• Hold peer-to-peer conversations with treating clinicians when additional detail is needed to finish a review
• Apply current guidance on rheumatology diagnosis and imaging to everyday assessment work
• Partner with clinical and operational teammates to sustain quality and consistency across the review process
• Keep review records complete and organized according to established procedures

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Rheumatology
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine
• Hands-on clinical experience managing patients with rheumatologic disease
• Working knowledge of common radiology modalities used in rheumatology evaluation and care
• Ability to review complex clinical material efficiently and reach well-supported conclusions
• Strong written documentation and verbal communication skills for peer engagement
• Readiness to perform full-time physician reviewer duties for Evolent in Work at Home
