What This Role Involves

As a Supplier Quality Engineer at this Houston-based operation, you'll bridge the gap between supplier performance and corporate quality standards. Your focus: developing supplier partnerships that meet regulatory requirements, conducting thorough assessments, investigating quality problems, and driving corrective actions that prevent issues from reaching customers. Responsibilities

• Audit suppliers and assess their compliance with established quality standards and corporate policies
• Design, document, and maintain supplier quality agreements that align with regulatory mandates and company requirements
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Develop and qualify new suppliers to ensure they meet performance benchmarks before production begins
• Manage supplier relationships and communicate quality expectations, results, and improvement opportunities
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and recommend process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, supply chain, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrated experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality roles
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, auditing processes, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in quality tools, data analysis, and documentation systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams
