Position Summary

The Senior Research Associate 2 plays a pivotal role in advancing clinical research initiatives at the University of Miami. You will work directly with our research team to manage study protocols, coordinate with participants, and maintain the highest standards of data integrity and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate clinical study protocols, including participant recruitment, enrollment, and retention
• Conduct patient assessments, interviews, and follow-up visits according to study procedures
• Collect, organize, and verify clinical data while maintaining detailed documentation and regulatory records
• Prepare study materials, maintain equipment, and ensure laboratory environments meet protocol standards
• Support regulatory compliance activities, including IRB submissions and safety reporting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, nurses, and research coordinators
• Assist with literature reviews and preliminary data analysis to support research publications
• Maintain accurate participant databases and ensure confidentiality of all protected health information

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, biology, public health, or a related health sciences field
• Minimum 2 years of clinical research experience or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of clinical research protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory requirements
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines simultaneously
• Demonstrated proficiency with data management systems and electronic health records (EHR)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in research
• Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and professionally
