CAPS Collaborative
Join CAPS Collaborative as a Special Education Teacher in our Westminster, Worcester County program. In this full-time role, you'll provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, working within district partnerships dedicated to exceptional educational outcomes.
The Opportunity
CAPS Collaborative partners with districts to deliver responsive, high-quality special education programs. As a Special Education Teacher on our team, you'll play a vital role in creating instructional experiences tailored to each student's unique needs and strengths.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP (Individualized Education Plan)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Implement evidence-based instructional strategies and adaptive teaching methods
- Monitor student learning through ongoing assessment, data collection, and progress tracking
- Document student performance and communicate regularly with families and educational teams
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative problem-solving
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts special education teaching license or eligibility for licensure
- Experience teaching students with varied disabilities, learning differences, or developmental needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to partner effectively with colleagues and families
- Proficiency with educational assessment tools and data-driven instructional practices
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based teaching methods and student-centered learning
- Flexibility, patience, and genuine passion for supporting student success
