About the Role
As a Middle School Cheer Sponsor, you'll play a vital role in supporting Liberty Christian School's Fine Arts Department and working alongside our varsity coaching staff. This part-time position focuses on developing young athletes and performers who are passionate about cheerleading. You'll contribute to a dynamic program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and school spirit while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with varsity coaches during practice sessions to help student athletes develop advanced cheerleading skills, routines, and stunts
- Instruct proper techniques for cheers, chants, and choreographed dance routines
- Prioritize participant safety by monitoring practice activities and performances and ensuring compliance with established safety protocols
- Assist with organizing and coordinating team activities, competitions, and special events
- Support student development through coaching and mentorship in a positive, inclusive environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience with or knowledge of cheerleading, dance, or related performance activities
- Strong ability to work with middle school-aged students in an educational and athletic setting
- Commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment for all participants
