The Opportunity

Halperns Steak and Seafood is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to take charge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and team performance at our Walton location. In this role, you'll manage shipping and receiving activities, coordinate inventory systems, and ensure compliance with food safety and operational standards. You'll work closely with management and your warehouse team to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently every day.

Core Duties

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipment of products
• Direct and train warehouse staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance and productivity
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliation to maintain accurate stock records
• Enforce safety protocols, food handling standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Monitor equipment and facilities maintenance; coordinate repairs as needed
• Prepare reports on warehouse activity, inventory levels, and operational metrics
• Collaborate with management on process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or warehouse leadership experience in food distribution or a similar fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Demonstrated capability to motivate and manage a team effectively
• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Physical ability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards
