About the Role

As a Courtesy Clerk and Grocery Bagger at our Tupelo location, you're responsible for supporting the grocery department and front-end operations. This part-time role focuses on efficient merchandise bagging, customer assistance, and maintaining the clean, organized environment our shoppers expect. You'll work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries and merchandise using proper techniques to protect products and ensure customer satisfaction
• Greet customers and offer assistance throughout their shopping experience
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment, including checkout areas and customer zones
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise displays as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards to create a secure workplace
• Support team members during peak shopping hours
• Demonstrate Kroger's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, and inclusion in every customer interaction

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and work for extended periods during shifts
• Strong customer service orientation and friendly demeanor
• Capable of lifting and carrying grocery items weighing up to 25–30 pounds regularly
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and company procedures
• Prior grocery retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
