About the Role
As a Control Room Operator with Securitas Security Services USA, Inc., you'll be the eyes and ears of our security operations, monitoring surveillance systems and coordinating response efforts to keep communities and facilities safe. This is a full-time position with flexible day and swing shift schedules at $22.00 per hour. New operators complete a structured 90-day training program (Monday–Thursday, 8am–6pm) designed to build your expertise in monitoring technology, threat assessment, and emergency protocols.
Your Responsibilities
- Monitor security cameras, access control systems, and alarm panels in real time
- Respond promptly to alerts and security incidents, following established protocols
- Communicate with field officers and emergency responders to coordinate effective responses
- Document all incidents and maintain detailed logs of system activity
- Identify and report security threats, unusual patterns, or system malfunctions
- Operate dispatch and radio systems to communicate with security personnel
- Maintain situational awareness and support multi-site monitoring operations
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to focus on multiple monitors and systems simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for clear, concise incident reporting
- Reliability and the ability to remain alert during shift work
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including day and swing shifts
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new monitoring software
- Sound judgment and the ability to stay calm under pressure
