Travel RDN – Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

ProKatchers is hiring a Travel Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a full-time position in Bronx, New York City. This 13-week travel assignment offers registered dietitians an opportunity to deliver clinical nutrition services in an acute care setting at $2,400 per week.

The Opportunity

Join ProKatchers as a Travel RDN in the Bronx, beginning July 27, 2026. This temporary placement runs for 13 weeks with 35 hours per week on the day shift—8 hours per day—providing a predictable schedule while you contribute to patient care in one of New York's leading healthcare communities. Responsibilities

• Assess patient nutritional needs and develop individualized medical nutrition therapy plans aligned with clinical diagnoses
• Monitor patients' nutritional status and clinical outcomes throughout their hospitalization or treatment course
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets, nutrition modifications, and lifestyle strategies to support recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams on nutritional aspects of patient management
• Document all nutrition assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record system
• Apply current evidence-based guidelines to optimize outcomes for diverse, complex patient populations

Qualifications

• Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Valid New York state licensure or dietitian certification as required
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in acute care, inpatient, or hospital nutrition settings
• Strong foundation in medical nutrition therapy, lab interpretation, and clinical nutrition protocols
• Proven ability to educate and communicate with patients from varied backgrounds and literacy levels
• Adaptability and professionalism in a high-acuity clinical setting
• Current or obtainable Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
