The Opportunity

As a Cardiovascular Disease Specialist at Merck, you will serve as a trusted clinical expert and key resource for healthcare providers and delivery systems within your assigned region. You'll apply your cardiovascular knowledge and medical expertise to foster meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, address complex clinical questions, and support improved patient outcomes. This role combines clinical insight with collaborative partnership, positioning you at the intersection of medical expertise and customer engagement.

Core Duties

• Serve as a key clinical resource for healthcare providers in your territory, addressing complex questions and supporting evidence-based decision-making
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Integrated Delivery System leaders, and field colleagues to coordinate comprehensive customer engagement and support
• Apply cardiovascular disease expertise to educate healthcare professionals on Merck's scientific innovations and clinical approaches
• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers to understand clinical needs and support optimal patient outcomes
• Contribute to territory management activities and support regional business objectives through clinical leadership

Who We're Looking For

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree with board certification or substantial experience in cardiovascular disease
• Current, unrestricted medical license in the state(s) of practice
• Strong medical and scientific expertise in cardiovascular therapeutics and clinical practice
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers
• Territory management experience or demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple stakeholder relationships
• Familiarity with healthcare delivery systems and clinical decision-making environments
