VP, Head of Architecture AI & Cloud Engineering

What This Role Involves

As a visionary technical leader, you'll drive the strategic direction of cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence systems across Advisor Group's enterprise. You'll partner with C-suite executives and business leaders to architect scalable, secure, and innovative technology platforms that power modern wealth management and financial advisory services. This role demands both deep technical expertise and executive presence—championing transformational initiatives while ensuring operational excellence across distributed teams and systems.

What You'll Do

• Define and execute the architectural roadmap for cloud platforms and AI/machine learning capabilities, aligning with business strategy and competitive positioning
• Lead engineering teams through design review cycles, technology evaluations, and implementation of next-generation infrastructure supporting financial services at scale
• Establish governance frameworks, security standards, and compliance protocols for cloud and AI systems in a regulated financial environment
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, containerization, and AI/ML platforms that accelerate business outcomes
• Collaborate across product, operations, and risk functions to translate business requirements into technically sound architectural decisions
• Build and mentor high-performing engineering leadership teams while fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven track record as VP, SVP, or equivalent in technology architecture, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML engineering at scale
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), distributed systems, and modern software architecture patterns
• Strong foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data engineering architectures in production environments
• Experience in financial services, wealth management, or highly regulated industries with demonstrated understanding of compliance, security, and data governance
• Executive leadership experience managing large technical organizations and cross-functional initiatives
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and drive organizational alignment
