Sr. DevOps Engineer with Security Clearance

i270 Solutions Group is hiring a Sr. DevOps Engineer with Security Clearance in Chantilly, Fairfax County to design, build, and secure mission-critical cloud infrastructure and deployment automation. This is a full-time role requiring an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly eligibility.

What This Role Involves

You will engineer enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure and continuous integration/deployment systems where security is embedded throughout every stage of the delivery pipeline. Your work directly supports operational resilience and ensures that code moves to production safely, reliably, and with full compliance oversight. You'll partner with development teams, security specialists, and infrastructure stakeholders to balance speed with risk management in a controlled, classified environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and environments that meet federal and enterprise security standards
• Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to enable rapid, secure software delivery
• Implement and enforce security controls, access policies, and compliance checks throughout the infrastructure and deployment lifecycle
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability; respond to incidents and optimize infrastructure based on operational telemetry
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into their workflows without sacrificing velocity
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams for knowledge sharing and continuity
• Evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and practices to advance the organization's DevOps and security posture

What We're Looking For

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly eligibility (required for hire)
• 5+ years of experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure, preferably in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Expert-level proficiency with CI/CD tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms
• Strong foundation in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of network security, identity and access management, encryption, and secure software supply chain practices
• Demonstrated ability to design systems that balance operational efficiency with security and compliance requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical work for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
