St. Joseph the Worker School, part of the Diocese of Allentown, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Music Teacher to join our faculty in Orefield, Lehigh County. This is an opportunity to inspire young learners through the joy and education of music in a Catholic school community.

The Opportunity

As a Part-Time Music Teacher at St. Joseph the Worker School, you'll play a vital role in developing students' musical abilities and appreciation for the arts. Your Responsibilities

• Deliver daily music instruction using age-appropriate curriculum activities and materials aligned with school standards
• Design and implement engaging music lessons that foster creativity, listening skills, and musical expression
• Assess students' musical progress and maintain detailed developmental records for each child
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students' musical development and classroom participation
• Collaborate with grade-level teachers to integrate music across the curriculum
• Direct school performances, concerts, and musical programs as appropriate to the part-time role
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to participate

Requirements

• Valid teaching certification or music education qualification (requirements vary by state; verify with Diocese of Allentown)
• Strong knowledge of music theory, pedagogy, and age-appropriate teaching methods
• Proficiency in voice and/or musical instruments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
