Role Overview
We're looking for a dedicated Safety Manager to oversee safety protocols and compliance on mission-critical data center construction projects. You'll partner directly with field crews, leadership, and subcontractors to foster a proactive safety culture and ensure every team member goes home safely. This is a hands-on role that balances field presence with documentation and compliance oversight.
What You'll Do
- Conduct daily and routine safety inspections and audits across project sites
- Monitor crew activities and safety practices in real time, intervening when necessary
- Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures
- Maintain accurate safety records, incident documentation, and compliance reports
- Lead toolbox talks and safety training sessions for field staff
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
- Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure safety objectives align with project goals
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction safety management or a related safety discipline
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence crews and management
- Ability to remain visible and engaged in the field environment
- Detail-oriented with solid documentation and record-keeping practices
- Problem-solving mindset focused on continuous safety improvement
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between project sites as needed
