Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and development of analytical instrument components and assemblies
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototype testing, and validation of mechanical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and applications engineering
- Develop technical specifications and engineering documentation for manufacturing
- Participate in design reviews and troubleshoot technical issues during development cycles
- Support product transitions from development through manufacturing scale-up
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, preferably in instrumentation or precision manufacturing
- Proficiency with CAD software and 3D modeling for component and assembly design
- Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with testing methodologies and quality assurance practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in team settings
