Head of Public Policy – Remote

Paxos seeks an experienced Head of Public Policy to lead our policy strategy and stakeholder engagement efforts on a remote basis. In this full-time role, you'll shape how Paxos engages with policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and the broader public on critical issues in finance, blockchain, and the digital economy.

Role Overview

As Head of Public Policy at Paxos, you'll own the development and execution of our policy positions across the full spectrum of our business. This is a strategic leadership role where your work directly influences how Paxos is perceived by regulators, legislative bodies, and key stakeholders. You'll represent Paxos in conversations with national and global leaders shaping the future of finance and capital markets, ensuring our voice is heard and our positions are clearly articulated across public policy channels.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Paxos's comprehensive public policy strategy and advocacy positions on financial regulation, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and emerging digital economy issues
• Serve as primary liaison with government agencies, regulatory bodies, legislators, and industry associations at federal, state, and local levels
• Build and maintain relationships with key policymakers, regulators, think tanks, and industry coalitions
• Analyze legislative and regulatory developments and advise leadership on policy implications for Paxos's business
• Lead cross-functional teams to communicate Paxos's positions effectively to external stakeholders and the public
• Monitor policy trends in capital markets, fintech, blockchain, and digital assets to identify emerging risks and opportunities

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory strategy, with demonstrated success influencing policy outcomes
• Deep knowledge of financial services regulation, capital markets, or emerging technology policy
• Proven track record engaging with government agencies, legislative bodies, and regulatory authorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex policy matters to diverse audiences
• Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term policy strategies aligned with business objectives
• Experience in the fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, or digital assets space preferred
