About the Role
You'll lead Spanish language instruction for high school students, with a central focus on Spanish II coursework. Your mission is to ensure students achieve or exceed the proficiency goals set by the Principal and academic leadership team. You'll cultivate an adaptive, collaborative classroom environment that strengthens relationships across the Helix community and reinforces the school's mission and values.
What You'll Do
- Deliver standards-aligned Spanish II instruction tailored to meet students' proficiency targets
- Develop and refine lesson plans that build language skills, cultural awareness, and student engagement
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to support growth and achievement
- Foster inclusive, culturally responsive learning experiences in the classroom
- Build strong, adaptive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Collaborate with academic leadership and colleagues to advance school goals
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
What We're Looking For
- State teaching certification or eligibility in Spanish education
- Proven experience teaching Spanish language at the high school level
