In this full-time position, you'll partner with experienced lenders to originate and structure ABL facilities, building your expertise in specialized commercial lending while supporting growing businesses across the country.

About the Role

The Junior ABL Originator role offers early-career professionals the opportunity to develop deep knowledge of asset-based lending transactions. You'll work within our commercial lending team to evaluate creditworthiness, analyze collateral, and structure financing solutions for middle-market companies. This position balances client relationship building with rigorous credit analysis, preparing you for advancement within our lending organization.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate prospective asset-based lending opportunities and prepare initial analyses for internal review
  • Review financial documentation, tax returns, and borrower statements to assess creditworthiness and collateral value
  • Support credit memoranda development and loan proposal preparation for senior lender approval
  • Assist in conducting due diligence, facility tours, and client site visits to evaluate collateral and business operations
  • Participate in deal structuring, including facility terms, covenants, and conditions precedent
  • Monitor existing portfolio relationships and track covenant compliance and key financial metrics
  • Coordinate with legal, credit risk, and operations teams to move transactions from origination through funding
  • Support the team in identifying strategic lending opportunities aligned with market conditions

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related discipline
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and interpretation of balance sheets and income statements
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort navigating banking systems and databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities with an ability to synthesize complex information
  • Organized, methodical approach to managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Genuine interest in commercial lending and asset-based lending products
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across departments
  • Professional judgment and commitment to credit quality and risk management
