About the Role

As Regional Sales & Business Development Manager for our Eastern US territory, you'll own the commercial strategy and growth pipeline across key accounts and emerging opportunities. Reporting directly to senior sales leadership, you'll build relationships with federal agencies, prime contractors, and integrators while identifying and pursuing new business in our core defense electronics and aerospace markets. This role combines strategic account management with active business development—you'll be both closing deals and opening doors for the region.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives, targeting government and commercial aerospace & defense customers
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers at federal agencies, prime contractors, and systems integrators across the Eastern US
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities that leverage our defense electronics portfolio
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract closure, including proposal development and pricing strategy
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and solutions are properly positioned
  • Develop account plans for existing and target customers, ensuring consistent revenue achievement and growth targets
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform regional strategy and positioning

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or related technology sectors
  • Proven success managing large territories, building pipelines, and closing enterprise-level deals
  • Strong understanding of the defense industry, federal procurement processes, and the decision-making cycles of government agencies and prime contractors
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term revenue targets with long-term account development
  • Ability to travel within the Eastern US region as needed
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
