About the Role

This full-time locum assignment places you in an active surgical facility serving the Franklin D Roosevelt area of Manhattan. You'll deliver comprehensive anesthesia care across diverse cases, working alongside experienced surgical and nursing teams in a dynamic OR environment where clinical judgment and teamwork are essential.

What You'll Do

• Perform pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia management plans
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care throughout surgical procedures
• Monitor patient physiology continuously—vital signs, oxygenation, ventilation, and hemodynamics—throughout surgery
• Manage airway and fluid balance in response to clinical changes and surgical demands
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and OR personnel to optimize surgical conditions
• Direct post-operative recovery and pain management protocols
• Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and regulatory compliance
• Respond decisively to intraoperative emergencies and complications

What We're Looking For

• MD or DO with valid New York State medical license
• Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology
• Active DEA registration
• Demonstrated clinical experience in perioperative and general anesthesia management
• Strong problem-solving ability in fast-paced surgical settings
