Director of Contracts

Perrygo Consulting Group is hiring a Director of Contracts to lead our contracting operations from our corporate office in Lexington Park, St. Mary's County. This full-time position plays a critical role in shaping how we build and maintain partnerships that support our mission and drive growth.

About the Role

As Director of Contracts, you will establish and execute our contracting vision across the organization. You'll oversee the full lifecycle of agreements—from initial negotiation through execution, compliance, and renewal—while building a framework that balances risk management with business opportunity. Your strategic leadership ensures every contract serves both company and customer interests.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive contract management policies and procedures
• Lead negotiations with vendors, partners, and clients to secure favorable terms and protect organizational interests
• Manage the contract portfolio, including tracking obligations, deadlines, and renewal cycles
• Review agreements across departments to ensure legal compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with company standards
• Mentor and supervise contracts staff, building a high-performing team
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency
• Collaborate with legal, finance, operations, and business development teams
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex or high-value agreements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of contracts management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Deep knowledge of contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk assessment
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change
• Strong communication skills—comfort presenting to executives and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and project management capabilities
• Experience in government contracting, consulting, or professional services preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business, law, or related field (JD a plus)
