Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Traveling Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a full-time position based in Richmond, Richmond County. In this role, you'll deliver essential diagnostic imaging and therapeutic services across clinical settings while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and specialized healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do

• Prepare radiopharmaceutical medications according to physician orders and established safety protocols
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients via oral, intravenous, and other prescribed routes
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including SPECT and PET scanners, to capture diagnostic images
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond to any patient needs or concerns
• Maintain detailed records of administered doses, imaging results, and patient information
• Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Communicate findings and observations with the medical team to support clinical decision-making
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks

What We're Looking For

• Current state license and certification in nuclear medicine technology
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology or a related field
• Strong foundational knowledge of nuclear pharmacology, radiation physics, and safety practices
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to different healthcare facility workflows and cultures
• Willingness to travel to assignments in Richmond, Richmond County and surrounding areas
